This large spacious beautifully decorated property, which overlooks the Atlantic ocean and has spectacular views of the Aran Islands and Mutton Island, is just a short walk from a beautiful sandy beach and Spanish Point Golf Course. Ideally located for easy access to Lahinch with its aquarium, surf school and 18 hole championship golf course. A wonderful start point to Doolin, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, Alliwee Caves, Kilkee (Greg Norman designed Golf course) and Kilrush with its marina.
The property has five bed and breakfast bedrooms; three double rooms and two double/single rooms. These rooms are spacious and equipped for the modern traveller. There is a two bedroom self-contained apartment with open plan living/dining with fire and a fully fitted kitchen. In the hostel, there are four private ensuite hostel rooms. Guests can avail of the fully equipped kitchen and communal area. Room rates inclusive of a Continental breakfast. Throughout the house, you'll find excellent coordination of colours and soft furnishing. An extensive breakfast menu is available in the sunny dining room for guests of the B&B, and there is a large guest lounge to watch TV or read. At the River House, we have an extensive knowledge of suitable activities for guests with brochures and maps on display to assist visitors in maximising their stay in the area. We also have access to specialist outdoor adventures, perfect for seeing the Wild Atlantic Way from a different perspective.
Our B&B is located on the Sky Road at the waterfront in a lovely bay. You will stay in a quiet and comfortable house. Clifden town, heart of Connemara, is only at 5 minutes by car. Famous sites like Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Ballyconneely's golf, Roundstone or port of Cleggan (departure to Inishbofin) are very closed to us.
